Welcome to READERS' BOOKS, Sonoma's literary gathering place where you'll find good books, good talk, lots of events, and opinions, jokes, and music in abundance.
Located in the town of SONOMA in the heart of California's lovely and historic WINE COUNTRY, we are a general bookstore with a particular focus on contemporary fiction, poetry, children's literature, food, wine and religion. We carry both new and used books and host several author events each week.
We are located one-half block off the Sonoma Plaza on the southeast side.

In her latest book, We've Always Had Paris...and Provence: A Scrapbook of Our Life in France she joins with her husband, Walter, to describe their life in the country of their culinary inspiration. Wells is the author of The Paris Cookbook, Patricia Wells at Home in Provence: Recipes Inspired by Her Farmhouse in Provence, Bistro Cooking, and many other popular works. Here she and Walter tell about their food-driven life in France-- how food has held them together and solidified their marriage, whether connecting over nightly dinners at some of France’s most acclaimed tables or jointly fighting the battle of the bulge. This charming memoir is told in alternating voices as these high-profile expatriates chronicle their enduring love affair with France, its cuisine, and each other. Recipes included, of course. Food and wine will be served. This is part of the Sonoma Arts and Lectures series.
