Vicki Robin, Blessing the Hands That Feed Us
A few years ago we hosted an event where the authors only ate food grown in a hundred mile radius of their home. Now Vicki Robin has raised the bar: in an effort to get back to basics she only consumed food from her neighbor's small market garden or made within a 10-mile radius. Beyond the health benefits of eating hyper-local food, she discovered along the way the beauty and real meaning of community. This is both an idealistic and practical guide to what our new food world may look like in the near future and a testament to how we can all change our lives if only we set our minds to it.
