Yes, we are open--you can come in the store--do don your mask to come and see us. There's hand sanitizer at the door and remember to stay six feet apart while browsing. The latest shut-downs from the governor did not include retail stores unless they are located in a mall. Here we are on East Napa Street, freestanding, and ready to help you find your next best read. Store hours are 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, on Sunday we still open at 9:30 but close at 3:30 p.m.

We are still able to provide contact-less pick-up in the garden if you are not comfortable coming inside the store. Phone us at (707) 939-1779 and we will have your order bagged and ready on the table in the backyard.

Our website www.readersbooks.com is always open, as is our account at http.//bookshop.org/shop/readersbooks

Looking forward to seeing (or hearing!) from you soon.

We're so excited about our own Andy's new book, Reason to Kill and we've come up with some good, healthy, and safe ways to celebrate it.

Join us for our first ever Zoom webinar! And what better way to begin than with the launch for Andy's second book. Reason to Kill is the second Amos Parisman murder mystery; this time, the intrepid semi-retired gum-shoe finds himself embroiled in the world of LA's klezmer scene. On Tuesday, September 22nd at 7pm, he'll be reading from the book before taking questions--some of them from the live Q&A. Please email us (support@readersbooks) to register. Once you register, you should get a passcode to the Zoom webinar. If you run into any issues, feel free to email us at support@readersbooks.com.

This is our first journey into the brave new world of author events so we truly appreciate your patience with us Luddites! And don't forget that he'll be doing a socially distanced signing line in the garden on Friday and Saturday from 3-5.

Lilla Gilbrech Weinberger Obituary

Lilla Gilbrech Weinberger, beloved Sonoma bookseller and political organizer, died suddenly and unexpectedly, Sunday, March 24th, following a tragic fall down a flight of stairs. That was how it ended. But that one sentence doesn’t begin to encompass her life.

Born in Pasadena, California, on October 8, 1941, she grew up in a mixed-raced, working class neighborhood. Her father was an engineer who spent the bulk of his career in aero-space and her mother was a skilled gardener and seamstress.
