Book Launch for The Kindness of Strangers by Andy Weinberger
The book launch for Andy Weinberger's third installment of the Amos Parisman series, The Kindness of Strangers, will be at Readers' Books on Thursday, April 14th. There will be a 5:30 reception followed by a 6 p.m. reading.
Amos Parisman, the semi-retired PI, stumbles across the body of a local homeless woman in Park La Brea. After his old friend, Lieutenant Malloy, tells him not to get involved, Amos instead finds himself embroiled in the investigation. As more homeless people begin turning up dead in the area, Amos soon realizes he is hunting a serial killer with a gruesome vendetta against the vulnerable and disadvantaged.
Amos, who we first met in An Old Man's Game, never quite knows when to quit. As he digs further, he must face the damage that homelessness inflicts on a community and on the individual human spirit.
Andy Weinberger is the co-founder and owner of Readers' Books and the author of the Amos Parisman mysteries. In his spare time, he enjoys crossword puzzles, schmoozes with regulars, and plays the guitar.
