Sonoma author, instructor, and expressive writing coach Rosalie Cushman will be at Readers’ Books on Wednesday, September 18th at 7:00 to present her book Vibrating at the Speed of Love: A Traveler’s Meditation. Ideal for anyone on a spiritual journey, this book allows the reader the space to build their own path, while still providing a few sign posts. The book is filled with pithy and packed with insight statements which occupy a page spread on their own, allowing the full weight of the sentiments take hold of the reader.
Rosalie Cushman Press, owned by Rosalie Cushman, focuses on spiritually relevant non-fiction works based on struggles their subjects have endured and overcome to one degree or another. Ms. Cushman has written two other books, The Man Confused By God, which depicts a Holocaust survivor who questions God’s very existence; and One Grasshopper’s Journey, which protrays a child survivor of the Korean War who had been raised in a strict Pentecostal tradition and has begun to question religious indoctrination.
Rosalie Cushman attended Boston University and Iowa State, earning a Bachelor's Degree in English and Political Science. She has been a freelance writer since 2008. Besides her two previous books, Cushman has also written articles for Fine Magazine, Values.com, and penned a biography of Margaret Sloss for Iowa State University. An essayist at heart, Cushman writes for her own website—www.rosaliecushman.com—on a wide range of topics though many with a spiritual theme.
Prior to developing a writing career, Cushman enjoyed 20 years in PR and Marketing for all things books, After confronting a decade long health issue that was the impetus for Vibrating At The Speed Of Love, Cushman made significant life changes, devoting full attention to her own writing, fostering a more contemplative lifestyle. She lives in Northern California.
