Local Author Steve Pease reads from his memoir, Nothing Ventured
On Wednesday, January 18th, local author Steve Pease chronicles his adventurous life in his memoir, "Nothing Ventured: An American Life". There will be a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a reading at 6:00 p.m.
Steve's extensive career in business brought him to Russia fifty times, leading to a unique insight into the effort to modernize the Russian economy. During thirty-seven years in business in startup companies, corporate turnarounds, and venture capital, Steve was instrumental in orchestrating enterprise funding for Russian ventures, including one of his own. His memoir combines these experiences with his early life in post-WWII, making for a fascinating perspective.
Steve Pease is also the author of "The Golden Age of Jewish Achievement" and "The Debate Over Jewish Achievement". He currently serves as chairman and CEO of The U.S. Russia Investment Fund and is the director and former co-chair of the U.S. Russian Foundation for Economic Advancement, as well as the Rule of Law; both are nonprofits focused on the U.S.-Russia relationship.
