Local car enthusiast Bill Young will present his book, My First 100 Cars, at Readers' Books on Thursday, October 24th, 2021. There will be a reception in the Readers' Garden at 5:30 and a reading at 6:00.
For some people, a car is just a means of getting from one place to another. But for others, they are an endless source of fascination and joy. Bill Young's love of cars shines in this collection of reminiscences. Even if you're not a car lover, you'll be charmed by Bill's anecdotes. In the lead-up to the event, Readers' Books will display part of Bill's collection of model cars. And don't miss the opportunity to show off your car knowledge for a contest on the night of!
Bill has been a car guy from youth, building model cars and learning to drive before he had a license. After earning his degree in economics, he spent forty years in the car business. To date, he has owned one-hundred and ten cars. He continues to buy and sell to this day.
