Praxis Peace Institute presents Frances Moore Lappé

Frances Moore Lappé, hosted by the Praxis Peace Institute, will speak on The Climate Crisis in Focus: Finding Hope Through Democratic Action on Thursday, March 5th at 12:30 pm at Sonoma Community Center (Andrews Hall). Frances Moore Lappé is the author of nineteen books, including the bestselling Diet for a Small Planet. Her latest work, Daring Democracy: igniting Power, Meaning, and Connection for the America We Want, focuses on the roots of the current democratic crisis in the US and how Americans are creatively responding to the challenge. We will be there with her books and look forward to seeing you!


Ms. Lappé is also the co-founder of Oakland-based Food First and the Small Planet Institute in Cambridge, Mass. She has been the recipient of nineteen honorary degrees and a visiting scholar at MIT and UC Berkeley. In 1987, she received the Right Livelihood Award.
