Writers Iris Dunkle, Howard Norman, and Angela Pneuman discuss their work
Authors Howard Norman, Iris Jamahl Dunkle, and Angela Pneuman will be at Readers’ Books on Friday, July 26th, with a 6:00 reception and a 6:30 reading. The three authors are all related to the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, which is held each year at the end of July.
Howard Norman, a Readers’ favorite, is a prolific and award winner author whose works include The Bird Artist and My Darling Detective. His newest book, The Ghost Clause tells the fascinating story of two marriages, narrated by one of the husbands, who is a ghost in the house that the new couple moves in to.
Former Sonoma Country poet laureate Iris Jamahl Dunkle is a regular NVWC teacher whose poetry reflects history, nature, and place. She is also in the process of writing a biography of Charmian London. Angela Pneuman is the executive director of the conference and a fiction author. Her works are a darkly humorous look at evangelical Christianity, abandonment, grief, and coming of age.
These three writers will be sharing the stage, each offering readings of their own work. We expect a lively Q&A session and a great evening of literary appreciation.
